In the year 1978 the company was incorporated as Vam Organic Chemicals Ltd. We subsequently went through a change in our corporate identity when we changed our name to Jubilant Organosys Ltd.
Jubilant Organosys Ltd. is a public limited company having a Board of Directors having 12 members : 5 executive directors and 7 independent directors. Mr. Shyam S. Bhartia, is the Chairman & Managing Director and Mr. Hari S. Bhartia, is the Co- Chairman & Managing Director of the Company.
As Vam Organic Chemicals Ltd. expanded its horizons from a bulk and specialty chemicals company to an integrated pharmaceuticals industry player the Company found it necessary to change its corporate identity to represent the changing profile of the Company. Hence, Vam Organic was renamed Jubilant Organosys Ltd. in November 2001.
The corporate identity change took place in the year 2001, reflecting the evolving nature of our operations as a ScienceActive knowledge-led organization.
The business of Jubilant Organosys is organized into four business segments namely: 1. Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences Products 2. Drug Discovery and Development Services 3. Industrial Products 4. Performance Polymers.
